Southwest Florida offers some of the best fisheries in the world most notably Pine Island Sound, the Everglades, and the Fort Myers area. I will show you what this region has to offer. Here you will find endless mangroves, abundant grass flats, numerous wrecks and backcountry waters offering some of the best saltwater fishing in the world. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, I will take great pride sharing my knowledge and insight to provide my anglers with an enjoyable experience.

Amenities:
Bait & Tackle, Coolers and ice, Fishing License, Rods, Safety Gear
Experience:

I'm a Florida native who spent my childhood years fishing the bridges, piers and beaches along Florida's East Coast. I took the knowledge I gained from fishing from land and applied it to the backwaters of Flamingo and Chokoloskee in the Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands. I've called Southwest Florida home for the past 8 years because this region affords some of the best opportunities in the state for both inshore and offshore fishing with its unique and diverse fishery.

Gulf of Mexico Fishing Report 09.03.12

The redfishing is amazing and their willing to eat anything you throw at them. Were using artificials, chunk and live baits. The best bet is to catch pinfish on the flats by chumming them up and throwing the cast net. Most of these fish were catching are on the higher stages of the tides pitching the baits back in the bushes. Make sure to find moving water and some nice overhangs. Other ways were catching them are fishing the edges of the oysters on the lower tides. These fish are ranging fr...

Gulf of Mexico Fishing Report 08.25.12

The backcountry fishing in Estero Bay is holding plenty of redfish and snook. Fish the last 2 hours of the incoming tide and the first 2 hours of the outgoing tide. There's a lot of small bait around the mangroves, which is why these fish are in a frenzy. The choice of bait is a freelined pilchard or pinfish pitched as far back in the mangroves. Type of rig is a 2/0 circle hook with 30lb. flourocarbon leader.     The nearshore wrecks are holding a variety of species f...

Gulf of Mexico Fishing Report 08.12.12

The wreck fishing is producing due to all the bait that is passing through with the tides. There's been a lot of different species being caught (grouper, snapper, cobia, snook, redfish, mackeral and trout). Fish the early morning and late afternoon tides. The bite is slow during the mid day. The choice of bait is thread herring and pinfish. A freeline thread herring using 40# flourocarbon leader works best for the snook, trout and mackeral. Most of these snook are slot size so PLEASE handle w...

Gulf of Mexico Fishing Report 02.25.12

It was tough the past two weeks out on the nearshore wrecks. The winds were blowing pretty good, but if your able to squeeze out 2-6 miles the sheepshead, mackeral, grouper and snapper will be chewing.Choice of bait has been little pilchards and cut shrimp for the sheepies. The inshore report is if you find the clean water you'll find the fish. Look for good current running along shorelines and over oyster bars. The redfish and snook should be feeding. Live chumming works best to enti...

Estero Bay Fishing Report 02.10.12

The weather has been perfect the past two weeks to get offshore and fish some structure. The action has been hot and were catching a mixed bag of nice trout, sheepshead, snapper, flounder, mackeral and grouper. The choice of bait has been live pilchards and for the sheepies were using cut shrimp on a jighead. The cobia should show up early with this warm weather and south winds. The inshore fishing has been hit or miss. A few trout and smaller slot redfish with sheepshead mixed in. All you ne...
