The fishing is still very good in the Ludington area, and for that matter from Pentwater to north of the point. For me its still meat on the High and Low divers. Black with Moo Moo, Mountain Dew with Cold Steel, Green/Blue Bubble with Froggy, Showtime with Blue UV on Ice. They are all working. About any combination of spinny-Paddle- meat is working. The tournament saw more limit catches than any other tournament in history. Lots of kings and a 24.5 lb brown for biggest fish-WOW.

Fishing has picked up in the last week. We are catching fish from the Red cabin all the way up to the point. The good news is that the fish have moved in from the deep waters. We are starting in 60' and working out to 125'. 3, 5, and 7 leadcores along with 150, 200 and 300 coppers with spoons are all producing right now. The fishing is very good on the point right now. We went 8 for 16 on our charter Friday. The fish are scattered from the top to 160'. Our best rigs were 5 color cores and wire divers 225' back. Our best depth was a buck seventy five out to 260 fow.

The brown fishing has slowed down because of all the winds of the past week. But we are still catching Lake Trout in from 8 to 20 ft on SS brown gobies and Pearl Bombers.
We were only ably to fish the point 1 day. Our best was 120' to 160' down on the riggers with Moo Moo teasers. Low wire divers at 185' and 220' took fish. A 400 copper with a DW mag blue Dolphin also took two hits.

The brown fishing has slowed down because of all the winds of the past week. But we are still catching Lake Trout in from 8 to 20 ft on SS brown gobies and Pearl Bombers.
We were only ably to fish the point 1 day. Our best was 120' to 160' down on the riggers with Moo Moo teasers. Low wire divers at 185' and 220' took fish. A 400 copper with a DW mag blue Dolphin also took two hits.

The boat is back in the water and ready for the season, and just in time. We are having a very good year for Brown Trout in Ludington so far. I have taken 63 so far and I think we still have 2 to 3 weeks of good fishing left for the Brownies. Also there are good numbers of Chinook on the point right now. The fish are deep, in excellent shape, fiesty and most important very hungry.
