Fishing Report: Apalachicola Fishing 2012 begins!
Hi Everyone!
Just a little note to say hi, and of course to share a few pictures of our fantastic winter fishing trips!
The weather seems to have shifted to spring like patterns in February- who'd a thunk it?! With that being said "fish read the conditions rather than the calendar" so it could mean an early season for many of the migratory species. The water temperatures are unseasonable high compared to th...

Greeting once again from the "Sportsfishing Capital of the World" Islamorada, Key Largo and the Florida Keys fishing. Naples Fishing Report 2/21/12
After a busy month of charters I have a day to get reports done and get ready for another busy week. If you are not down in Naples right now or arent going fishing you are missing out on one of the best Winters I can remember. The weather has been amazing with highs in the low 80's and water temps have been in the 70-76 range. This warmer than average weather has kept the live pilchards in the area all Winter and has really helped the f...

Fishing Report: 2/21 Hatteras Offshore Fishing Report
There were only three of us out today, and finding fish was difficult.
We were all searching for bluefin and having no luck. I made an executive decision, after fishing a couple hours, to steam south and look around down there. A friend of mine had a few bluefin bites down there on Saturday, so I was hoping to find his scraps. We checked out several good spots, and burned a lot of fuel looking, but never found the gold mine. We did spend a few minutes jigging some amberjacks, and you c...
Fishing Report: Slow Bite Feb 18th
There was a tremendous area of bluefins today, but very few bites.
I'm not sure but I think there were only three or four bluefins caught out of the Hatteras and Oregon Inlet fleets. It wasn't because there weren't any fish because there were fish busting and marks everywhere...they just wouldn't bite. We got lucky and caught a wahoo, so atleast my guys will eat good! There was a very scattered yellowfin, and we spent the afternoon with the smaller stuff out in hopes of...

Fishing Report: Still Dealing with Windy Weather...
Last Friday we fished with local buddy, Rick Pino, his father-in-law, Ed Jones—visiting from Virginia—and another great fisherman--snowbird, Ron Greisdale—whose home base is Great Britain. We didn't get anything spectacular, but we all kept busy with ladyfish, a few jacks and some sea trout. It was distressing to see that so much of the grassy areas are thinning out; they usually hold nice schools of trout and an occasional redfish.
On President's Day we fished...
Fishing Report: "Spring into Homosassa Fishing"
Report Date: February 21, 2012
“Spring into Homosassa Fishing”
After the last few winters, we’ve experienced a rather mild winter this year here in Old Homosassa. Which has resulted in some exciting fishing reports for this early in the season. The Gulf water temperatures are around the 60 degree mark and the fish seem to know the arrival of spring is not far away. The Sheepshead have already spawned and are feeding like crazy. The Spanish Mackerel are early an...
Fishing Report: SW FL is all stirred up Capt. John GiddyUp-Bunch
After 2 straight days of 25-30MPH wind, SW FL waters must clear and settle before the bite return. As promised, my report today was suppose to bring you warm and fuzzy feelings wherever you get them but such is not the case. It sucked today.
As soon as my boat entered Pine Island Sound my instincts told me to you CRAMPS/Diaharra/or Bee Sting. The water was that infamous color all Truthful Guides hate to see. Think about taking a glass of water and adding 3 Tablespoons of Tang (Not PoonT...

Fishing Report: Wounded Warrior Fishing Trip
Wounded Warriors trip
We were fortunate enough this year to be asked to participate in the effort to give back to our soldiers who have been injured, and proudly said yes to the opportunity to take a few out for an outstanding day of fishing on the Emerald Spirit. Our day started like all the others; get down to the boat early and catch live bait, make sure all of the tackle was ready as well as the boat. The Crew is ready all the time, especially today because they know how important t...
Fishing Report: Jupiter / Palm Beach seawall mania snook
Mid February and it feels like summer. yes we are still receiving fronts but, the cool weather does not linger for long. Many natives are wondering what is to come for summer, hot, hot, hot.
Inshore has produced great snook action in palm beach and Jupiter. Targeting seawalls and docks snook are plentiful and low tide offers stellar sight fishing. Snook are ranging in size from 2 to 15 pounds, willing to take live baits, artificial and flies. Deeper holes snook can be found schooling up...

Fishing Report: "Approaching Cold Front" | Tiberias - 22' | 02/18/12
It is February with a cold front pushing through Texas, Louisiana, Alambama, and approaching fast. Plentiful sunshine and warm air from the Gulf has gotten our water temperature on the rise again. The redfish are stacked up in some of the local community holes and scattered in small groups on the flats. The speckled trout continue to move in and out of the rivers as water temperatures change rapidly from day to day. Flounder have been caught in deep pockets of water as they are awakened by...
Fishing Report: Inshore/Flats Fishing Report for Charleston,SC
Had the pleasure of having Steve and Collin in from Boston for a couple days of Sightfishing for Redfish with Fly/Spin. Steve ended up landing 6 Fish on Fly and Collin using Spin landing 13 fish. Gulp shrimps and Exude darts rigged on flutter style hook seem to get plenty of action and for Flies EP crabs and Redfish Toad patterns work the best in dark colors.

Fishing Report: Feb 14 Fort Lauderdale Charter Fishing Kids and Families
Charter fishing in Fort Lauderdale with the family and kids seems to be one of those things enjoyed. It’s not something you can do many places in the country so why not enjoy and give it a try? It could be you are traveling with the family from somewhere in the north like Tim and his 9 year old daughter Analyze, or perhaps your parents are visiting from Illinois as Jessica’s da Art did. Two separate groups of two, meeting on the boat for a fishing trip. And both groups said the...
Fishing Report: FEBRUARY IS HERE, LETS GET FISHING !
February has arrived and our weather conditions continue to be spectacular. I've been extremely busy and have had the opportunity to take a lot of really extroardinary people fishing over the last couple of weeks. With water temperatures holding steady in the mid to upper 60's, fishing is hands down "wayyyy" above average for February. We have been catching numerous redfish and trout on all my trips and a few clients had the opportunity to set new personal bests in the red...
