Nembwe

One of the best known largemouth species in Southern Africa with a more robust body than most other species. Dorsal surface to head and body of adult males is light to dark olive green paling over the flanks to an off-white/yellow ventral surface. The older fish tend to be darker in overall body and fin colouration. Dorsal fin approximates body colour but has a yellow margin and brown to red spots are present on the posterior portion of the soft rays. Caudial fin blue to green.
