Overall we had a great weekend in the South Brunswick Islands. Off shore, the winds were sporadic but still allowed for fishing. The Gulf Steam is very active, especially with the arrival of mahi.

In shore, in addition to the trout bite and the red drum, the flounder are making their presence know. The OIFC received several reports of keeper flounder in Tubbs and the other backwaters. A great many undersized flounder were released.

There was no special hot bait. Off shore fishermen were using everything from naked ballyhoo to skirts to Black Barts. In shore DOA, Gulp Shrimp, live shrimp and mud minnows all caught fish.

Below are a couple of pictures of off shore catches as well as Capt. Jacob with his son and Brandon with his daughter Syd. A great weekend of family fishing.
