The first clue we had that the king bite was on was when Capt. Zach Faulkner of the 36' Contender "Get Floor'd" called to say he was on his way in with some nice kings.
 
 
Zach was fishing with pogies he and Capt. Steele Park netted just off the Shallotte Inlet. They were trolling about 8-9 miles out in 65 feet of water.
