The fishing in and around Estero Bay is about as hot as the weather. There is plenty of bait of the beaches and around the nearshore reefs. te backbay bite for snook and redfish has been really good. Fish around mangroves and oyster bars with free lined thread fin herrings or pinfish under a float. Work the grass flats with shrimp under a popping cork for spotted sea trout. The nearshore bite had been producing spanish mackerel, gag grouper, goliath grouper, and sharks. Free line your baits for spanish and sharks, and cut baits on the bottom for the grouper. Get out eary to avoid the heat. Take plenty of water and sunscreen.
