Thats right! Don't let the weatherman scare you away from doing a little fishing. Capt. Chris Dawson stayed close to the beach today and landed a nice king. He said he was just outside of Dawson's Creek drifting pogys when a 30lb plus king skyrocketed on a bait. The king dumped a little over half the spool, as they started to gain some line back it went slack. Under further inspection the swivel had slipped apart! Bummer! Then another king skyrocketed and game on again. This fish made it to the OIFC official scales placing Capt. Chris in 3rd place (24.10) on the year round rodeo.

Inshore action remains consistent despite passing and approaching fronts. The wind has been challenging to deal with, but the North wind should help clean the water up a bit. Large flounder, trout, and redfish are still being caught. Lockwood Folly river is producing trout. The Shalloute River is also producing a few trout and I saw a 8 pound flounder get netted up the river as well. Capt. Jeff Williamson reported seeing a couple nice trout get boated at the Jetties a few days ago. The water temperature is right and the fish are biting at the right times. Go get'em! See ya on the water.
