Today we started out with our morning trip fishing with Vince and Angela from North Carolina. They were just looking to bend the rod with whatever we could get to bite. So we figured wed go right to trolling the reef to up our odds of catching as many fish as we could for them.
Ive got to say that we had no idea the surprisingly big fish we were about to catch trolling the reef.
Our first bite turned out to be a bonito and shortly thereafter we had a nice dolphin fish than another bonito. Things were looking pretty good when all of a sudden we got a bite on our left planner and line started screaming off the reel. Due to the light leaders we were using we babied it along and ended up boating a 30 pound smoker king fish.
At the end of the trip we ended up with a 30 pound king, a 15 pound king, a 6 pound dolphin fish and a few bonitos. Not a bad trip for just trolling the reef for a couple of hours.
We had a fun trip and we were looking forward to our afternoon trip. And once we got back to the dock we had Mark and Lori from South Dakota waiting for us. We figured that since the morning trolling the reef had worked out so well for us wed just go right back to the same spot and see if we could do it again.
And sure enough thing started out pretty much the same with us throwing a couple of bonitos in the box. Than all of a sudden once again we got a big bite on one of our planner rods. And once again we babied it in but once we got the fish to the boat much to our surprise this one was not a king fish but it was a nice Wahoo. Way to go guys we never seen that one coming.
After another hour or so of trolling the reef without a bite we decided to try some deep drops on a ship wreck. And once we got a live bait down on the bottom BAM the rod bent over and we were Hooked Up. Mark ended up pulling up a monster amber jack. Well if Mark can do it Lori figured she could so down we went with another live bait and once again the second it hit the bottom BAM we were Hooked Up. It was a big back and forth tug a war for Lori for over 20 min but at last she landed het monster amber jack.
Thanks again to all of our anglers today and we aboard the Hooked Up are looking forward to fishing you guys again soon.

More Sharks Of the coast of Fort Lauderdale
Today we had Igor from the Ukraine and the rest of his family witch I am not even going to attempt to spell their names on board for a morning of hunting for big game fish.
We went out to 350 feet of water set out both kites with live and dead baits suspended from them and also sent down a couple of big shark baits.
We ended up catching a nice dolphin fish out of the kite and also a big bonito but neither one of those fish compared to the fight we were just about to get into when our bottom bait got hit.
Ive got to say that the line was screaming off the reel as if there was a freight train connected to the other end. It was a 40 min and three anglers later till we finally got to see this monster hammer head shark next to the boat.
Thanks again Igor and we look forward to fishing with you again soon.

More Sharks, Wahoos, Dolphin fish King fish and more aboard the Hooked Up
This morning we started out fishing with Monica and Eric from Pittsburg and Art and Bob from Grand Rapids Michigan.
We went right to trolling the reef with 3 baits skipping across the surface and 2 baits down deep on planner boards. Things stated out pretty much normal as usual with Eric catching a bonito and than Bob jumping in the chair and caught a little black fin tuna and then Art jumped in the chair and he also caught a bonito. If you look at the beginning of this report youll notice that yes there was one girl aboard but I guess these guys never heard of ladys first and I made sure to let them know about it. But it was all in good fun and I assured them that Monica would properly be the one to catch the biggest fish.
I had no idea about what was just about to happen!!We got a good bite on our right planner and yes they finally let Monica get a shot at reeling one in. BUT this one did not want to come in and it took quite some time before J.J. could get to the leader. Once J.J. got started on this 60 foot long leader he yelled up at me to pay attention because this fish felt very heavy to him.
Well this is pretty hard to believe but we got the pictures to prove it a 56 pound Wahoo. Thats right guys how about that for ladies last (LOL)

Monica you are the bomb way to guy. Guys thanks again for all the laughs and a great time.

As we got back to the dock we had Bob and Donna from Buffalo New York, Sid and Kyra also from Buffalo, Kevin also from Buffalo and Deanna from Jupiter Florida waiting and ready to try their luck at a big one.
I,ve got to say that we went to the same spot we had been fishing this morning and we trolled and trolled without a bite.(RATS( time to try something new. We set out our kites with some live and some dead baits out there and we also set down to the bottom a couple of shark baits.
Ok the trap was set and we needed a bite badly. It took some waiting but all of a sudden BAM our deep rod bent over and the fight was on. Bob got in the chair

and it was a back and forth tug a war for over 20 min. But at last bob got his catch to the side of the boat a nice bull shark about 6 feet long.
Thanks again to all of our anglers today for a fun filled day of sport fishing off the coast of Ft Lauderdale.

Leo the Bachelor fishing off the coast of Ft Lauderdale
Today we had a bachelor party/ fishing trip for Leo the batcher and his close friends Paul, Pedro and Jason all from Florida.
These guys were looking for eating fish so we started out trolling the reef looking for some king fish or maybe a Wahoo or two but all the reef had for us were bonitos and I mean plenty of them. So we decided to head off shore looking for some dolphin fish. The water had a bad green color to it so we figured we would have to go way off shore to find some clean water. As we were heading further off shore we did manage to catch one 6 pound dolphin but that was all we were able to find off shore.

Ok so now our trip went from trying to find good eating fish to just finding fish. So we went in to about 350 feet of water set out both kites with both live and dead baits suspended from them and we also set 2 shark baits down deep.
After a good hour of waiting our deep line got hit and we were finally Hooked Up. It seemed only fitting to put our batcher Leo in the chair and the fight was on. It took a good 30 min till finally Leo got his Bull Shark to the surface. We did the best we could to get a few pictures but this shark went nuts next to the boat. So we did the best we could and cut him loose before he hurt himself.

Leo best of luck to you and your new bride and to the rest of you guys thanks again.
