This trip actually started on the 15th of December 2010 when I was aboard the cruise ship Oasis. I met a dentist named Randy out of Boca Raton Florida. He had told me he does a lot of volunteer work with troubled kids and with some of the players from the Miami Heat basketball team.

So off we went, fishing with Kyle and his father Hugh, James, Twan, and Miami heat player, Udonis. Once again we started out trolling the reef, catching bonitos. Then we decided to venture off shore in search of Mahi-Mahi. While we never did find any Mahi-Mahi we did end of catching one black fin tuna.

Randy sorry fishing was on the slow side today but it seemed everyone had a ball all the same.

Today we fish with Nikolay from Kentucky and his brother Drago from Tampa.

We started trolling the reef, catching bonitos one after another along with three nice king fish. Infact the reef fishing was so good that at several different times they were both fighting fish at the same time.

Then we decided to go off shore looking for Mahi-Mahi. While the Mahi-Mahi has been hard to find this year, out of the blue, one jumped on out line. Nikoly jumped in the chair and within five minutes, dinner was in the box! Nikolay and Drago thanks again! It truly was a blast fishing with you guys.

Today we set out fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale with Terri, Stan, Mann, and Damitri.

Once again we trolling the reef and the Bonitos were biting like mad dogs! We worked our way to the south and tried dropping some lives baits on a ship wreck. The second the live bait hit the bottom, BAM! The rod bent over and line started screaming off the reel like a freight train! Teri jumped in the chair and the fight was on. After a ten minute struggle Terri boated a nice Amber Jack.

After Terri caught his Amber Jack, we tried some deep dropping for some good eating fish and ended up with a bundle of great eating tilefish.

We had a few miles to go to get back to our harbor, so we decided to high-speed troll. All of a sudden, without warning, our wire line bent over and once again, we were Hooked Up. Stan jumped in the chair, and six minutes later up popped a nice Wahoo.

Way to go Stan!

Guy’s thanks again for fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up.

Today we started out our day fishing with Paul from Fort Lauderdale and Mike from St Louis.

We started out trolling the reef with 2-planner board running about 45 to 50 feet down along with 3 baits skipping across the surface.

Once again the bonitos were biting like mad dogs. It seemed we would catch 5 bonitos than a kingfish 5 more bonitos and than another king.

It was an action packed morning of fishing with us landing 7 kings but only keeping 4 due to the limit being 2 per person 2 nice barracudas and I lost count at about 1,000,000 bonitos. (LOL)

Paul and Mike thanks again for fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up and we’re looking forward to fishing with you guys again soon.

As we pulled back to the dock we had Dave, Jared, Alex, Matt and Rata all eager to give their luck a shot at some deep- sea fishing off the coast of South Florida.

Once again the reef was full of life and once again we ended up catching bonitos, kings and a couple barracudas.
