KINGFISH, KINGFISH, KINGFISH
They are everywhere here now. Light tackle, fly tackle, dead bait, jigs tipped with shrimp, plugs, spoons, everything is working. Limiting out (2 keepers per angler) should be accomplished well before lunch. Spend the rest of the day catching and releasing these speed demons running from about 10-30 pounds average.
There are enough Sailfish around to warrant using a kite and hoping the kings don't spot the live bait first. Under the kings there are snapper feeding on the falling scraps.
Near the Palm Beaches the Spinner Sharks are still so thick that tossing out a piece of kingfish and sticking the rod in the holder will still not buy you enough time to grab a sandwich. The rod will be doubled over as a 75-100 pound shark comes jumping out of the water.
