Submitted on 02/20/2012The Islamorada fishing was very good today south of the light for big Kingfish and Wahoo’s.We pulled the hooks on a nice Wahoo today and caught some nice Kingfish. There were a few 30lb fish caught today. There was also some nice 30 lb Cobias caught today in the sand on some rays.We had some great Yellowtail action on the Eagle, some of the fish were 4 to 5 lbs.The Sails were slow again, and with this warm winter that we have had we may start seeing some Dolphin (Mahi) showing up soon. There was a few small Blackfin Tunas caught on the Islamorada Hump and there was some good reports of some nice size 75 to 100 lb Blacktip Sharks caught in the Gulf. The Wahoo action over in the Bahamas has been very good with alot of large fish in the 50 lb range being caught. Bimini and Chub Cay are the 2 spots we have been getting the reports from. The winter Wahoo fishing in those areas is as good as it gets and we should have a few more weeks of great Wahoo fishing.
