Jan 21 Ft. Lauderdale Fishing Trips / Texans

We seem to get a good number of Texans on our Ft. Lauderdale fishing trips aboard Marlin My Darlin. We had the pleasure of fishing with Brian, Rick, and their sons Trevor and Anthony last Tuesday. We had a beautiful day with pleasant sea conditions and plenty of sun. Good clean water and a slight north current on the edge had us expecting a lot of action, but it wasn’t to be as we struggled for most of the morning along with the rest of the fleet to find some fish. Any fish. Slim picking throughout the trip until close to the end. That’s Trevor and Anthony with 1^st mate Chris holding a beautiful Sailfish that made it a morning to remember for the Texans by eating a frisky live bait and putting up quite a struggle. We released him back into the ocean as previously agreed and watched him swim away after a quick measurement and a round of pictures.
