Another Jolly Mon is in the books. 307 boats competed in the event and we were blessed withe great weather for the Tournament. The staff of the OIFC put on quite an event. The food served by Guy C. Lee and Captain Amy was excellent.

Team "Do Work", fishing out of Ocean Isle was the winner. The team consisting of Captain Jeff Beck, Timmy Clemmons, Jon Hayes and myself were the victors. They also won a TWT, I was was awarded 1st place in the Senior Division.

The winning fish was caught in the river channel, using live pogies on a double pogey rig. Jon Haves was the angler and fought the king fow about 45 minutes. Jeff was the coach, gaffer and planner..

The Do Work team won in the neighborhood of $22,000. Winning the money is great of course. The prestige of winning the Jolly Mon as as important. Winning the Jolly Mon while fishing with my son on Father's Day was most important.

Thanks to Captain Brant, the OIFC, all the sponsors, fishermen and all the people who followed the tournament.

I would like to announce that I have been granted exclusive rights to interview myself later this week. This will not be a softball interview, I am preparing some hard hitting questions to ask myself and I expect some truthful answers from me.
