The fishing over the past few weeks has been great. Daily catches of double digit redfish and trout has been the norm. Shrimp on a 1/8 or 1/4 oz jig head seems to work best. Work the deeper holes during low tide and around the mangrove islands on high tide. Switch to a poppping cork set-up as the temps heat up and work the grass flat edges. This will rpoduce good numbers of trout. The sheepshead bite around the oyster bars and dock pilngs has been really good. Remember to down size your hooks and use a small piece of shrimp, they are very good a stealing bait. They are not black and white striped for nothing.
