The month of November is a great time to be on the lake. The striper fishing is going strong and they are bunched up in large school chasing bait. This is the time of year to load your bait tank with shad and shiners. I will usually start my search in the river bend area of the lake, and work south from there. I will use my Lowrance to locate the schools of bait and fish. When I locate the schools I will drop a live bait down to the school.

As we get to the end of the month the birds should start showing up. This will indicate the start of the winter season. The stripers will push the bait up and the birds will tell you where the fish are. This is a lot of fun to chase the birds and fill your cooler. This is
also the time to pull you umbrella rigs under the birds. This is a great way to limit out in a hurry.

Sugar Creek Marina has all of you umbrella rigs in stock along with the proper rods and reels to pull the rigs the right way. If you would like to learn how to catch these great fish at this time of year please give me a call at 404-803-0741 and lets go fishing.
