To all our friends back inland, folks you are missing one of the most magnificent times of the year at the beach. This past weekend was beautiful and you should have been here. Bluebird sky, low humidity, perfect temperature, pleasant northeast wind...it don't get no better than this. True, it blew pretty strong keeping offshore boats in shore, but our Brunswick County beaches face south, so any wind out of the northern quadrant is blocked by the land and thus it is flat right on the beach...which is where the kings are this time of year[or will be soon]. This week, it's pretty messy right now, but all the rain clears out by Wednesday, a weak front comes thru Thursday, and the weekend looks magnificent for the beach King bite to start for real. Also the oyster festival is this weekend so if you tire of catching fish, there are entertainment options. As a wise ole friend stated some years ago....October only comes once a year, and you don't know how many more Octobers you will have. Got the message?
Come on down and enjoy this magical time of year at the beach.
