A beautiful day again today in Ft. Lauderdale to go deep sea fishing. Wind was out of the southeast, about 12 miles per hour. There was a 25% chance of rain but you would never have believed it since the weather was gorgeous. In the late afternoon, the rains came in over the Everglades.
We departed at 7:45 am from Bahia Mar, Fort. Lauderdale dock on the Happy Day Today for deep sea fishing with Mr. Roger Smith and family from Ohio (three children ? a girl and two boys, his wife and mother-in-law that resides in Ft. Lauderdale). Captain Zsak decided to venture off shore and go deep sea fishing to a depth of 500-800 ft to catch Mahi Mahi's and Wahoo's.
A half hour into the trip, we ran across a floating piece of wood that held a bull and a cow Mahi Mahi. After a 20 minute battle, that put a huge smile on the seven year old boy's face, he caught the bull Mahi Mahi, and went to rest his tired arms in the a/c cabin.
