Fishing Friends,
In the Spring the Weekly Fishing Report can sometimes get very repetitious. It sounds a lot like we're just making the Report sound to good to be true, but Richland Chambers is just that good a Lake! You can expect to almost always get a 25 fish limit of White Bass and a few Hybrid Stripers, and now even the Crappie are getting very easy to catch!
So....for this Week's Report , I thought I'd share a few facts about our Guide Service. We're almost always asked a few basic questions by Customers or potential Customers, and the answers can usually be found below:
In addition to fishing all our lives, my Son (Adam) and I have owned and operated Gone Fishin' Guide Service on Lake Richland Chambers since 2000. I was in the Corporate World for almost 30 years and worked all of them with 7-Eleven Convenience Stores as a Marketing/Merchandising Manager until I early retired at the age of 49 in 1999. My Son is a graduate of Harding University (Church of Christ College in Searcy Arkansas) and has a Business Degree. We're both married and live in Whitehouse, Texas. I have a wife of 37 years, 3 Grown Children who all have their College Degree and are Married. Adam has been married for 3 years and has a 16 month old daughter.
We offer fishing trips year around and everyday except Sunday. We operate 22' Center Console Boats that accommodate up to six (6) fishermen safely & comfortably. We are licensed and professional and adhere to the laws of the State. We have safety equipment as mandated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department...Life Jackets, Throw Cushions, Fire Extinguishers, etc. We stress two things to all our customers.....Safety & Fun, and have built our business on "Family Fishing Fun" as you'll see on our website. We do not offer a Safety Course prior to a trip as it's just part of the trip.
We have Business & Church Groups , Boy Scout Troops, Police & Fire Depts., Moms, Dads, Kids, & Grandkids, as our customers and would be glad to provide references.
A typical trip is around 4 hours in length and we schedule Morning and Afternoon trips. We provide all the equipment and clean/bag the catch for our customers. We instruct the Kids in how to fish & take the fish off the hook for most Kids.
Our # 1 Goal is to provide "Family Fishing Fun" and to have a safe environment to enjoy the activity! We invite you to visit our website at to enjoy current Fishing Reports and Pictures of our Happy Customers and their catch!
Feel free to give me a call at 903-389-4117 if you have questions. I appreciate your taking the time to read this information, and hope you might join us on a trip one day.
