Some of the best and most diverse year round Point Pleasant Fishing at the New Jersey Shore can be found at Point Pleasant Beach. Due to the Gulf Stream, the Hudson River Flow and the Delaware River Flow, the area produces a wide variety of species, such as Bluefish, Striped Bass, Fluke, Weakfish, and many types of tropical fish.
Anglers in Point Pleasant can surf cast from either the beach or the Manasquan Inlet Wall. The Manasquan River and Barnegat Bay are nearby as well.
Many half-day, full-day and nighttime party boats operate out of the Point Pleasant Marina. Visitors may enjoy a few hours of blue-fishing on the Atlantic, or even an overnight big game fishing trip.

With Sundays funny weather we bailed on going offshore and took the girls on an inshore troll. Put our time in trolling looking and finally found the Bonito. Fun trip on Sunday - First fish was on as we were setting out the lines, got a nice surprise with a quality Yellowfin. Thought it was gonna be a great day but 5 more hours on the troll and nothing but a few boils on the spread. Went on the chunk and jig and jigged up and nice 54 inch Bluefin. Saturday had Rikard and his crew from Sweden to experience NJ sharking. We had a great day with constant action with makos and blue sharks. Everyone got to battle with multiple fish including 3 makos and multiple blue sharks. We boated our steak-o early in the day and kept busy catching and releasing many blue sharks. Made our annual trek down to Cape May for the South Jersey Shark tournament aboard the Fat Cat with Capt. Steve King. Always a great event and another year on the leader board for us!! Made a crew trip Thursday evening and got in on the bass insanity - Bass blowing up everywhere - threw the livies and top water swimmers - great action. What a turn around! From nothing for a week to Stripers and blues for all.
Jim Steel and Jim Gillespie both with boat limit plus a bonus Striper today. Santos, had some blues and a limit of Stripers to 38". Gary Rossnagel with his limit & bonus Striper! Great Day! Fishing has been very good the past week with plenty of striped bass and phenomenal blackfishing. We have been seeing alot of short bass and a few keepers being caught on jigs and eels this past week. Blackfishing got off to a great start this past Wednesday where the crew managed to land around 70 keepers to just under 11 lbs. Spent most of the outgoing tide around the RT.9 bridge area of Oyster Creek. Tried Sandy Point first, but the wind was relentless. Move to the sheltered area along the Creek by closer to the bridge. About a dozen people fishing, only to see 3 flounder, and one short bass caught. Had one confirmed flounder bite myself on the bloodworm, but never came tight. Still a bit early, and the water was cold for the creek. We'll see what happens in the next few tides. Thanks for reading!
