Description:

Tailwater trout fishery on "western" like riverway, in terms of size/breadth/flows. Broken and sculpted granite bedrock, with several class II whitewater shoals through the common 7-mile upper riverway float. Striped bass available in seasonal summer fishery. Other gamefish: various sunfishes, smallmouth bass, spotted bass.

Aquatic vegetation:

Some grasses on freestone flats.

Cover/Structure:

Sculpted and broken granite; whitewater shoals; frequent granite ledges.

Tips/Tactics:

Fly-fishing, spinner fishing for trout; large plugs and jigs for stripers.
