Hindsville Lake is one of the oldest man made lakes in Arkansas.Lake Hindsville has no commercial lakeside facilities. Boats can be launched from the firm gravel ramp on the north shore. Fishing supplies are available in Spingdale and Huntsville, with a restaurant in Hindsville. There nearest motels are in Spingdale. Withrow Springs State Park 5 miles north of Huntsville offers 15 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, 10 tent campsites, a modern bathhouse, restrooms, a picnic area, pavilions, a swimming pool, hiking trails, summer naturalist programs, a crossbow practice field, a snack bar and more.
But the lakes age and size havent diminished its popularity with local anglers. Prime fishing locales include shoreline willows and brush (willow root are favorite spawning sites of bass and bream) and areas around underwater structure like creek channels and the underwater roadway running along the north shore.
