Lake Wateree Mar 12 Bass Report

All the lakes in SC have been "on fire" with largemouth bass fishing being great.  Lots of big fish being caught, got to love the Spring time!  For Lake Wateree, SC, located Northwest of Columbia the capital, bass are being caught in the shallow coves and pockets.  Fish any cover in the shallows like bank grass, docks, rock points, etc.  Most fish being caught on plastics like a shakeyhead worm, creature bait, etc in green pumpkin colors.  Also, throw a ji...

12 Feb 12 Lake Wateree Bass Report

Fishing a little slow on Wateree right now due to cold snap, stained water, etc.  With water temp in mid 50s, some bass can still be caught in less than 8 feet of water on bright or bulky lures such as crankbaits or jigs/shakyhead worms.  Fish on rocky points and docks near deep water.  Most of the bait I have see is in the mid-lake/s-bend area.  Capt Chris   www.captchrisfishing.com   (803) 905-1991...

Lake Wateree SC Winter Bassin'
