Spot Description:
There is an abundance of species in Lake Catherine. Large numbers of Muskie and Northern Pike can be found and most Walleye average about 15 inches in length. The following lists the types of fish that can be found in Lake Catherine, in the order of their abundance: Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Yellow Bass, Muskie, Walleye, Channel Catfish, Perch, Crappie, White Bass, Northern Pike, Bullhead. Access Points Bob's Marina located on the south side of the Lake. Catherine Lake is located in Northwestern Lake county, just north of Route 173. Free access (FWA fees may apply) is available at Chain O'Lakes State Park. Small boaters (canoes/kayaks....) should be sure to wear your PFD, you never know when a powerboat will pass you at great speed. Private Powerboats, Sailboats, Canoes, Rowboats allowed. For fee info, check Fox Waterways Site Rental canoes, rowboats available 2 ramps with concrete to water level and below. (At State Park) Lake Catherine is part of the Northern part of the Chain of Lakes totaling 2,433 acres.

Catherine and Bluff lakes have the best bass fishing. Anglers should work the channels, weedbeds, brushy areas and docks. The average catch will be 1 to 2 pounds, but 4- and 5-pound fish are not uncommon. There is a 14-inch minimum and six-bass-per-day limit.
