With the hustle and bustle of the "Downtown" flats of Islamorada and the popularity of the sport through out the Florida Keys, the fishing pressure is at a peak. Long before you reach those destinations, just a short ride south of Miami, there is a place off the beaten path called South Biscayne Bay and Biscayne National Park. No buildings and no hotels, just miles of mangrove islands and miles of flats that have produced numbers of quality fish. World record Bonefish are caught here that still stand til this day. Capt. John Dickinson's favorite haunts include the mangrove lined flats and channels of South Biscayne Bay to the creeks as well as the back country of the Everglades with its stunning bird life and other wild residents. Off the beaten path, these excursions can include retreats to White Water Bay's remote creeks and hidden coves that offer shelter from noise and bustle for . . . .quiet.
