Captain Rapps and his top notch guides consistently catch more Tarpon at the Bahia Honda Bridge area each spring than any one else!
Because of this, we have been asked by Bruce Ungar from the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, to help out with the Atlantic Tarpon Satellite Tagging prorgram.
We also supply the Florida Fish and Wildlife and Mote Marine Laboratory with more Tarpon DNA samples than any other charter service in the area.

Everglades City and Chokoloskee in February
February is here and it is typically a month where we normally will see some slight changes from January's cold fronts and wind. Some of the cold fronts will still hit us, but are usually not quite as powerful. Water temperatures are higher than normal and will most likely continue to hover in the high 60's.

November Fishing in Everglades City, Chokoloskee, and the Everglades National Park
November is certainly one of my favorite months here in the 10,000 Islands! Rainy season is basically over, so the weather patterns are typically mild and the daytime temperatures are comfortably hovering in the high 70s to low 80s. Fish are following and feeding on bait pods that migrate into the area just off the near coastal beaches.
The change of seasons will begin to affect our tides from now through the winter months. Watch out those negative low tides of the new moon betw...

October fishing in Everglades City, Chokoloskee, and the 10000 islands of the Everglades National Park
It seemed as though summer would last forever. With all of that tropical storm activity that has been going on out there, it?s nice to see the change of seasons. October is here and what a great month it is to fish the Everglades National Park! Our day time air temperatures are now averaging around 87 degrees, as water temps hover around 81 degrees.

August is for sure one of the warmest months of the year to fish here in Chokoloskee, Everglades City, and the Everglades National Park, however, if you time your day appropriately, is can also be one of your most productive fishing months.
